My first jab at inking with a brush…

Well here it is, my first attempt at inking with a brush. i used a Windsor Newton Series 7 size 000. It was a lot of fun but I am just a baby on this. I did some old school coloring, which is always fun. Let me know what you think.

New Project: Top Secret

Well maybe it’s not top secret but it’s only visible on this blog for now. This is a page of a little space ditty I am slowly working on. I am playing around with color on this and hope to pitch it to a publisher. I’ll refrain from talking about the story for now while I iron out the details. Essentially it will be a weird sci-fi love story. There ain’t enough of those out there right?

Doodling during phone conversations is one thing, but doodling during staff meetings is on a different level. When you have people around you, you become conscious that they may see what your doing, but at the same time you are taking in verbal informtaion from whoever is speaking during the meeting. These drawings are essentially automatic drawings during weekly staff meetings. A co-worker humorously referred to them as “horrific”, I am not sure hoe I would describe them.

Page Four

Here’s another page from the new comic I am working on which I’ll call “untitled”. Sorry to be all Cloverfield about this but I think this story is really different and I would prefer to keep it somewhat secret. However, I have no problem posting some of the art.

New Project Page One

I am going to start posting images and pages from a new project I am working on with writer Matt Weber. I will refrain from giving up what the story is for now just to keep it fresh but I will tell you there is a Samurai, so what else do you need to know? Any way. here is the first page (without words). I will post pages without the text on this blog so if you are dying to read it you’ll have to buy it in October.

Final cover

Here is the final image. Note the digital photo of the clock tower. This series will run till the end of August. All of the concerts are free and outdoors. Ahh…summer time. I am actually the host for all of these shows so I get up on stage and introduce the bands and make announcements. I’ll try and put up a movie of that.
